There have been a few threads on this.

Usually nothing, but always best to get checked.

If a kidney stone starts to move from the kidney, it’s an extraordinary pain and feeling of bloatedness. Like no pain you’ve had before, awful, and likely stop being able to pee if it blocks the pipes to the bladder!
Once in bladder it’s massive relief, then after a while, it’ll make it’s way out the old chap! Some people, think that’s the worst bit, but it’s not, it’s the colic on the pipes to the bladder ime.

I had three and had the removed endoscopically. I passed a shed load of blood afterwards, basically pissing blood, pints of of dark red, as they left a stent in. Once take out that stopped, so irritation can cause blood for sure. But in my stones case, where one was collicking causing such extraordinarily pain, a urine test showed high levels of blood, but I could not see any.

So if you can see if, you need to get to see a doc. If you get really mental pain and bloating etc, that could be a stone. You’ll know it if you get it, near impossible to function at all.

Although it sounds scary, you need to get it checked with a cystoscopy. I first went to the doctor in Oct 2013 when I had a tiny amount of blood. The doctor said it was probably nothing and I forgot all about it. It happened again in Apr 2014 and I went back. They sent me to the hospital that time and I had early Bladder Cancer (age 27). Luckily they caught it early (pTa and Grade 1/2) and I now have yearly check ups.

Glad you went back. The same thing happened to someone in my family. Early bladder cancer, scooped out, not returned. Definitely needed to have acted.

I have also had a cystoscopy for flow issues. It wasnt as uncomfortable as it sounds, the numbing gel is definitely necessary. Plus, if they have a screen set up you can see the inside of your own bladder.

100% get it checked and dont be fobbed off. Please ask for a cystoscopy referral. Can be done privately if the wait is too long I'm sure.

Always worth getting checked
40 odd years ago I peed what looked like pure blood! But probably just a bit, watered down.
Was probed & had ultrasound etc, no problem found.
The reason they gave, burst a blood vessel while running..
Never did return, but worth checking out.

As others have said, time to see a doctor, but do not be fobbed off. If you feel something is wrong then something is wrong. Best of luck with your diagnosis and do let us know how you get on, if you wish.
