Itchy and flakey ears
Discussion
For a long time I have had dry skin in my ears and it's very flakey. I have used olive oil spray and that helps.
Just recently however I have had really itchy ears and during the night, I seem to have built up a wet liquid in my ears. Wet as in it seems to be like water, rather than a wax. This is new.
Anyone any advise?

Sounds like seborrheic dermatitis. Quite common in men in middle age onwards. Can also manifest itself around nose, eyelids, and in itchy dandruff I think. Also can come forward of the ears, near sideburns etc.
Lots of stuff to try over counter, from shampoos and face washes, and docs may prescribe HC cream or ointment if it is bad. My dad has it and manages it with some weird pricey pink shampoo (Nizoral?) and over the counter HC ointment, used very sparingly! I think his current tube he’s had for over 2 years!
Do some Googling and see if it fits with your symptoms and maybe see your doc?

I have had it for years, and it drives me nuts. Sometimes scratching so much that it bleeds.
I have had sprays from the docs that help but they never give me a repeat prescription so it just comes back when I run out. I have tried various over-the-counter stuff but nothing helps.
I have been trying alcohol and vinegar (no joke, search the net). I put it in my ear and tip my head and leave it there for 5 minutes. It has not got rid of it but it has helped.
