Can you whiten an old veneer?
Discussion
Hi
I had a porcelin veneer applied to a peg tooth when I was 21 (1996). Before I had it done it always looked like I had an extra fang!
It's been rock solid for 26 years, but i've noticed recently that it's starting to look a bit duller than the rest of my teeth.
My dentist said they can't be whitened or polished; is this true?
The discolouring isn't a major problem just yet, and the veneer itself is still solid so i'm loathed to rip it out.
PS: And christ, I know it was 26 years ago, but didn't recall the cost of installing / replacing one to be anywhere near a grand !! I thought I paid £70 !
