I’m in.

Never done it before. Turned 30 this year and expecting my first child in April. Seems a good time to have a crack at it.

Looking forward to a reset, and to find out how challenging i find it.

Not yet. Last year I’ve managed over a month before the life pressures (stress at work etc) got to me.

It’s not healthy to drink on a daily basis, full stop. irked

Once you’re mentally strong/prepared for it, probably easier than stopping smoking? I still light up the occasional cigar.

I’m doing it. Well, I’ve had one day off the booze. Easy in the morning waking up feeling groggy, not so easy on a Friday night when the wife is feeling frisky and the beers are beckoning. Will try it though.

Same!

Good luck to all. Last time I remember being really bored of it by week 3! Hoping it’s a more positive experience this time.

I seem to remember using the international date line 31/01/19....

Good luck all, I've already had two lovely pints of lime and soda in the pub...

Just checked and the open bottle of port can last 4 weeks or more, the stilton probably less.
Might start tonight, lasted 7 days last year IIRC

Started the year off with a glass of champagne at the bells and then a bacon roll in the morning when I woke up.

Why you need to prove that you have self control for 30 days a year is beyond me. Just drink or eat what you want in moderation.

Yet you seem to care enough about what others want to do to come into a thread knowing from the title that it’s not for you and leave a comment. Some of us want to do something positive and you felt the need to piss on everyone’s chips. Well done.
