I have dark tea/coffee stains on the back of my lower front teeth. Toothbrush/toothpaste won’t improve them at all. I know I could pay for dental treatment to get rid of them, but wondered if there was any way of doing it myself at home with an over the counter product? Something that would just clear the staining off?

I expect a visit to the hygienist is the safest way to do it, you only get one set of adult teeth.

'Safest'?

Simple and 'safe' solution to try first is Eucryl (been the smoker's first port of call for stained teeth for many many years).

Today it can be used to get rid of tea/caffeine stains. I've used it for years. You can brush your teeth using Eucryl 'toothpaste' if you wish, I don't. Just a damp cotton bud dipped in eucryl powder does the trick for 'normal' staining from tea etc. You'll be surprised at how easy it removes it. If you have deep ingrained staining, then you can't have visited a dentist in years!

And 'no' I don't smoke. Never have.
But I drink loads of tea. In my 8th decade if it matters

Just to confirm I do use it, I've also taken a piccy right now of ours. Oh, the best part, it's about £1.50 a small 50g tub!

Should have added, you don't use much nor very often, stains take a good while to build up.
Can't recall when I bought this tub but it was ages ago. Can be bought at any supermarket or chemist.

By "safest’, I heard of a friend using a whitening kit that caused damage to her teeth, lots of sensitive pain etc.
