Mrs geeks is having massive menopause issues and we aren’t getting much traction and I’m looking for some advice on how we go about getting the doctor to take her seriously and also for me some ways to help support her a bit more.

Yeah to be fair I was expecting the first response to be something about being an amateur gynaecologist and knowing a when you see one hehe

Previous thread, which may be useful, here:

If the GP you have seen is not helpful, perhaps ask to see a different one? They may want to do blood tests in the first instance to rule out anything else before they go down the menopause/peri-menopause/HRT route (they did with me).

Best of luck, and well done for wanting to support her.

Thanks I’ll take a look. I will say I’ve been mighty impressed with how she copes but she has her moments hehe

Wife's a (menopausal) GP, says you don't need a gynaecologist, amateur or otherwise, but find a different GP in the practice. Generally older female GPs are better. She also says this website is really good: https://www.newsonhealth.co.uk/
