Started last week. Had diarrhoea and stomach ache. Felt sick with the stomach ache some days. Very tired in the early evening which is not like me.

Calmed down for a day but this week I've had a couple days of really bad cramps and the switching between constipation and diarrhoea. Also the fatigue in the evenings seems to have got a bit worse.

I'm away this week so will book a doctors appointment but wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Dr Google saying some scary stuff.

You've done the right thing, go see a real Dr, not google.

If you cut your finger and google search it will say you're going to die a horrible death from infection/ sepsis etc etc

(and this is from someone who has suffered from ulcerated colitis for nearly 40 yrs)

Any blood or mucus in your stools? If not then you can calm down a bit.

Have you actually tried to book a GP appointment yet? Most are booking several weeks ahead.

Best get on the case booking it ASAP, you can always cancel if things improve.

Long-term ulcerative colitis sufferer here, so I hear your worries.

No blood or mucas in stools at all. As scary as Google is, everything seems to point to IBS.

I hope its just a bug. Not felt rough like this in the evening for ages. Lack of appetite is not like me either, I'm 6ft and 120kg!

Possibly food poisoning?

My daughter had similar symptoms - tested stools and came back as food poisoning, though I can't remember which type, sorry.

Symptoms lasted weeks. if not months.

Sounds similar to what I get occasionally. Doc has checked numerous times and done faecal matter tests, always turns out to be IBS flare ups. No harm in getting checked out though. I'm on Lansoprazole, but tbh they don't seem to do much.

Sounds like what my friend recently had, turned out it was an ulcer.

Me & the missus both had Covid last week. She had similar symptoms to what you've listed, her symptoms are still continuing this week even though she's been negative for a week now they're improving. I know of others who have had similar issues with this latest strain.
