Any experience with Child with back pain & clicking joints?
Discussion
My eldest lad who has just turned 13 but actually it’s been over a year, but when say sitting in a car up straight he can get lower back pain and also many joints click like, shoulders, knees, fingers.
He’s active with weekly exercise in and out of water, healthy diet and drinks and who doesn’t like their computer games at that age, so a typical kid.
Now it’s been over a year I’m thinking I should listen more and action, maybe a GP visit at first but just would like to hear of any others experience from yourself or others.
Over the year I just thought coming out of lock down and not fit or growing pains. His clicking joints don’t hurt as such.

I have this. Started around the same age. Every now and then my knees would give way when walking. Still happens now every now and then, but no real issues.
I was given physio for a few months which kinda helped.
Back pain...I've got this as well. Made worse due to my younger brother being disabled and spent a lot of time lifting him before we got the hoists at home. Then I was a lazy delivery driver who would carry way too much to do one trip.
Clearly this isn't what your son has done (unless you've missed that bit out ha). Back stretches daily help me. As does a sports massage every so often (I try and go monthly). Expensive but worth it (I pay £55 an hour).
I'm sure you are, but try and get him to take the back issue seriously. I really wish I had at his age. I'm now 33 and get pain from sitting in the car for too long (an hour is my time limit really). Not helped by what I have to wear at work.

The clicking I guess is just some people, but such young age at average height and no he doesn’t do lifting of any sort, so really shouldn’t get back pain when sitting in car or sofa up straight!

I have that - although I tend to consider that I 'had' that, since it only really caused me issues as a teenager which was some time ago. Only affected my right knee, and although it does ache a bit now occasionally and is definitely weaker than the left one - and has a lump on the front of it - it's generally fairly normal. (Although having typed that it doesn't sound normal!).For the OP - don't rule out things like arthritis with joints. It's not something that only affects old people - one of my ex's daughters had it. She was ~21 at the time, and was diagnosed with it early teens I believe - she had good days and bad days.

Not necessarily the same, but similar symptoms.
I had a bad lower back at that age. I also had a blue computer chair that would move if you went forward etc like some do. That caused it. Got rid and within one week back pain gone at that time.
I had a return of severe back pain again a couple years ago. A broken dodgy sofa. Fixed with new reclining sofa that takes the pressure off the lower back.
My joints also always click and have no issues and now mid 30s.
