Recently my left foot has been feeling unusually cold most of the time, the last couple of nights it hasn’t been especially cold but I have needed to wear woolly socks in bed to feel comfortable and get to sleep.

I am 45, not overweight and have averaged about 5-6 hours of fairly high intensity cardio exercise per week for about the last 5 years so I would assume my heart/lungs etc are fairly healthy.

Google suggests it could be nerve related or circulation related? Anyone any experience of similar?

circulation as a first guess, go see a doc, they might see what your foot pulses are like and them maybe on to a doppler test for added certainty

Might be a restriction in one of your arteries to the lower legs.

Hi,I had a similar problem. Turned out to be poor circulation, blood was restricted from my left ventrical so wasn't getting enough flow. See a doc as soon as possible. My problem was cured by a heart triple bypass, hope yours won't be as serious.

The symptoms have changed a little now to a stabbing/burning pain in my Achilles area when I perform certain movements, not a hint of pain whilst running though. The foot still feels a bit cold but not as bad as midweek.

So have you been to the doctors yet as per advice in the thread?

OP you should have seen a doctor by now. This can be very serious.

When I first discovered this the doctor was so concerned that I was directed to A&E. In short have a blocked artery with a possibility of having an amputation.

I had the same problem, also pain in my achilles. Then my achilles snapped in June and since then had a nightmare 3.5 months on the road to recovery. I haven't seen anything linking cold feet to achilles but interesting I experience the same.
