Discussion
Been trying for a baby for 18 months with the wife with no success. Firstly had a testerone test privately which came back very low at 7 (never said what measurement in the letter just 7 which is a joke tbh) and I had an ultrasound done private where it was noticed one of my testicles was enlarged (caused by mumps about 15 years ago) although just said could see blood was flowing but nothing else of note.
I had a sperm test conducted by the NHS. My sample was incomplete (probably about 90% of the sample was produced still) but I noted it was incomplete on the paperwork. Got the results back last week which said 'no sperm found although sample was incomplete so retest required'. It said 1.5ml was produced (in disappointment I chucked the letter in the bin although it had other measurements of which I cannot remember). Obviously I was extremely upset and worried about the results. I have booked for a private sperm test next week.
Im clinging onto the hope that as I marked the sample was incomplete on the test form they never tested it. Reading online some NHS hospitals don't test samples that are incomplete although I cannot find the criteria for my hospital and nor can I get a response. I'm proving a new sample privately next week. Anyone else had this back and is there any hope at all if I have no sperm? It's extremely upsetting to be honest. Never thought it could be possible, especially as I'm pretty fit and active.
