Flying after positive COVID test
Discussion
I’ve just come down with covid, bad cough, high temperature and a positive test. Only trouble is I’m meant to be flying to Greece for 2 weeks holiday on Sunday. As I don’t wear tin foil headwear I would rather not pass it on to a plane load of tourists.
I’ve already asked the holiday company and there are no flights available for next week, so if I wanted to save some of my trip I would have to source flights myself.
Assuming I test negative by Friday am I safe to go, or is it time to claim on insurance?

just wear a mask on the plane and go.
I got covid before a holiday (didnt know), felt a bit rank on holiday but put it down to the 8 hours a day cycling, flew home (bit coughy on the plane) then tested positive when i got home.
no way in hell now would i stop a holiday for covid, just wear a mask on the plane.

I'm sure you'll be at the non-contagious part of the ordeal by Sunday - I'd still wear a mask just to be safe.
Unfortunately in this thread you'll likely get a lot of the 'COVID was a hoax, go and cough on the pilot' kind of posters - but I think a sensible dose of caution and consideration for others will see you fine.
