I’ve had the occasional migraine since I was in my 30’s (now 51), however I’ve just had a particularly bad one, and wonder of anyone has any advice/experience?

Migraine came on around 10am on Tuesday, finally went last night (Wednesday). Unlike others, I had periods of what felt like rapid, multiple electric shocks, and two periods of repeated fainting.

Common, or something to flag up with doc?

I get occasional migraines. If I got one like that I'd definitely book an appointment with the doc.

Any visual disturbances?
Yes, a few. Difficult to describe, it’s like everything got a bit ‘wobbly’? When I had the ‘electric shocks’ I had flashes of light, almost like my normal vision was blanked out by lightning.

If definitely say it sounds like one for the Doctor or even 111 with the fainting.

Could be any number of things.

Any tinnitus or ear thumping / ringing?

If you haven't recently had an eye test that might be a good shout to cover off a few avenues. Blood pressure okay?

Cutting out caffeine, sugar, chilli. Cold flannel to forehead, back of neck. Dark room etc may all help if it comes on again.
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I’ll contact the doc.

No tinnitus, and blood pressure fine (at least it was when last checked). Eye test is a good call, will definitely do that, I know my eyesight has been deteriorating recently.
