Lasting Power of Attorney - How long did you wait?

Sent off Health & Financial LPA applications 6 weeks ago (both paper based application).

The Gov website states anywhere up to 20 weeks, does anyone have any real life examples of how long it did take to receive them?

Did you get any update during the process at all?

I have LPA for health and financials for my 88 year old mother. Bit of advice: go to the bank now and get the forms ready for your application for financial LPA over any accounts, or you'll be waiting a bit longer still. Once these are completed it's still another 1-2 weeks before you gain access.

It was last winter we sent the paperwork off

Just received this week - i would say well in excess of 20 weeks

And no update whatsoever provided in that time

A friend did one about 4 months ago. No communication since but payment has been processed.
