Apologies to start a new thread following on from my wisdom tooth thread.

Got prescribed this anti biotic last week, only took 4 tablets before I started to feel dizzy and unsteady on my feet. Stopped taking it Friday and over the weekend felt no other side effects. Been taking amoxicillin in the mean time after the dentist ordered me to stop taking metronidazole straight away when I reported the effects it had on me.

Had another little episode of unsteadiness and dizzyness today, haven't taken metronidazole for 3 days now. Feel like I might fall over when standing up and walking.

This can't be normal right??? Anyone with any experience of this drug?

Most drugs have a half-life of 8 hours, and should be cleared in 5.5x that, so 44 hours to clear. As you age, the half-life gets longer, but not by double that, maybe 10-12 hours.
