I've just googled it and it says you're having a heart attack and have aids

Get yourself to A&E. A warm thumb means infection has spread. Systemic fever means it has spread...systemically. At the least, you will need topical antibiotics, possibly oral antibiotics and maybe a tetanus injection as well.

Amputation at the neck is the best way to stop it.
Worked for me last time.

Save A&E the time of making you wait while little
Timmy has his cough checked or Sharon has her stomach pumped and just die. It’s your only option to protect the NHS

Probably just an inflammatory response, try putting an ice compress on it. If you're concerned and want to go, either call 111/ go online and get an appointment somewhere or an urgent treatment centre.

Soak it in Dettol and warm water for a few minutes. Then put a plaster on it. If your thumb and hand get all red and tender then it will be too late for you as it's the weekend and A&E waits will be measured in days and not hours.

If you have a local minor injuries clinic it might be worth trying there first. If the presentation alarms them they might be able to speed things up.

I dont want to be the wally that over reacts over nothing and holds up treatment for someone that does need it.
Gonna pop some alcohol cleaner over it and pop it some cold water then see what happens.
