Hopefully this isn't a risky subject to ask about, as I imagine for some people it might be.

Main reason it has come to mind is the sunshine haha. I usually never touch booze Monday and Tuesday, often holding off on Wednesday as well, and only on the odd Sunday do I touch it. So on the whole Thursday, Friday and Saturday are my drinking days.......but those three are more often than not pretty heavy.

But now the sun is out, of course I'm finding myself really fancying a beer on a Monday! I'll probably resist because it would be a case of me on my own WFH drinking a beer on a Monday which just feels a bit wrong.

But maybe I'm overthinking it and should just enjoy one if I want one!

I drink most days.

But never a lot.

I have a glass of wine with dinner. Sometimes a beer or a g&t at lunchtime.
I’m just about to go and make myself a drink to sip on the sunshine right now in fact.

Once autumn is here that switches to port and whisky instead.

It's funny because as I was writing this post, I thought to myself that my Dad probably drinks most days as he has amazing red wine in his cellar, and a glass with dinner is simply lovely. But he rarely if ever drinks enough to be drunk. Whereas he would consider me a bit of a pisshead no doubt because of the amount I drink on my three drinking days. So on the one hand I'm thinking "well, I don't drink 4 days a week" but on the other hand "yeah, but look at how much you drink on those days!"

I have a few beers on a Friday and Saturday night. Tee-total the rest of the week.

Exceptions are when we're away on holiday and special occasions (Christmas, birthday)

I don't ever drink spirits and rarely drink wine.

I don't judge others but, for me, drinking in the week is a bad habit to get into health-wise. Simply put - I'd be a lot fatter if I got into that habit.

Personally, I got out of the "habit" this year, by doing dry January. Now I barely drink, not that I drank a lot anyway but it was a habit, as you say.

Now I have a drink maybe once a month, and that will only be a beer or two. I don't miss it at all. Honest.

Generally no alcohol until Thursday and then will only be 2 beers max (4.30am alarm for work) and il have these after work and the dog has been walked sat outside in the sunshine.

If the weather's rubbish Generally don't bother until a Friday/sat might have 3 or 4 beers with the misses watching a film or two.

Sunday I don't bother unless I'm on afternoons shifts.

I find that drinking in the week effects my sleep a lot and also can leave me feeling really anxious at work the next day.

Never drink to excess and can't remember the last time i was drunk.

Nothing for 3/4 days a week

Enough that I can still drive (1-3 drinks) 2-3 days a week

Enough to drown a small country (+8 drinks) 1-2 days a week but only if out with friends etc

On holiday its a different story.....

I agree on the drinking during the week, hence being pretty strict with myself, especially Mon and Tues. But with the sun shining brightly for some reason that just makes a drink seem so much more......appealing/acceptable/justified?

I'm your typical binge drinker unfortunately. I don't drink any alcohol Sunday to Thursday and have a few spiced rums on a Friday to chill. Not a lot but 3 or 4. Most Saturday's tend to be a session though. Not all but a enough of them. I normally have a few beers then switch to rum but if my friends are here they tend to hit the shots and whiskey too. I often indulge as I have the breaking strain of a twiglet after a few beers. I always promise to stick to the beer and rum but rarely do. Sunday if often a day of regret for me.

I work with a lot of people (shopfloor environment) so this conversation comes up a fair bit.
Never ever will you get anyone admitting they drink in the week. I'm made out like some sort of alcoholic daring to have a single beer on a Thursday evening.
I've come to the conclusion that most people must be lieing or kidding themselves.
My partner is a teacher and can confirm that the stereotype about teachers drinking a lot certainly is true amongst the people she works with.

You're not alone, this post sounds most similar to me so far. Although swap rum for whisky.

I work in the media world, luckily no one lies in our game. It's always a given we're hungover Friday, Saturday and Sundays!

My wife is also a teacher, and she loves joining me on the boozing at the weekend. She is hating being pregnant!

I have never tried spiced rum, as far as I know. What sort do you drink?

A bottle of wine every evening, 2/3rds if I have either a G&T before or a whisky after. Every now and then (maybe once a year) I'll have a week off but usually it's every day.

Really enjoy sitting down with a drink after work and don't like soft drinks. Tea in the morning, water all day, alcohol in the evening. Can take it or leave it but prefer to take it!

I don't drink anymore, due to problems with alcohol.

I do miss a nice beer or glass of wine on a hot day, grown up drinks for dinner etc can be a struggle too. I quite like kombucha though.

I prefer Kraken as an everyday one as it's a bit less sweet and more aniseed in flavour. Some are often over sweet with vanilla or caramel flavours. My favourites at the minute are pull the pin and Holy Island spiced. As a Northumbrian the latter is easy to get hold of around here and although it starts out sweet on the tongue, it has a more savoury finish to it.

Never drink Monday to Thursday & over a weekend vary from 0 to 5 units wit 2-3 being the usual; if I drink any alcohol at all.

Up to a year or so ago was drinking around 15 units a week but decided to cut down. Found it very easy to do so & rarely miss it.
Disappointed that I haven't lost weight!

I seem to be having 4/5 beers every evening at the minute. I like my craft ales.
I've had 1300 unique beers in the last 2 and a half years according to Untapped.

People are going to hate me but I'm a lanky git.

I have a drink most evenings, though usually not on a Sunday & Wednesday as other social commitments. WFH means I carry more 'weight' downstairs with me when I am wrapping up my work day, and a glass of wine or G&T just helps me settle into my evening before dinner & chores kick in, usually a couple more Fri & Saturday.

I have no issues with it, enjoy it and plan to continue doing it...of all the other vices to have in life this feels pretty tepid!! beer
