Dropped heavy weight on foot today
Discussion
With the diy weight training today and moving 40- 60kg oak beams today .one managed to fall on my foot ,Luckily the steel toe cap boot took most of the blow but the part on the top of the foot nearer the ankle might be sprained or broken .the toes and foot works seems to work fine .
Guess I’m just wondering if I should be worried or not

If all is working fine then no.Guess I’m just wondering if I should be worried or not
If not then yes.
Get it xrayed
Sadly there's a whole world of problems if you've broken something. Many years ago a joiner that worked for the LA that I worked for was working on a office conversion and there was a heavy object in the way. He'd been told not to attempt to move it but he did and it dropped on his foot.
A number of operations later, each one causing further damage to blood vessels, he ended up paid off, walking with a stick and with the possibility of losing the foot due to poor circulation.....

I always had imagined if I’d get any injuries it would be chainsaw or power tool related but this has never been the case . A few months ago nearly got knocked out with a metal stick which wasn’t my fault and before that a mate reversed his car tyre over my foot

Pop down A&E get it checked out properly. Guess I’m just wondering if I should be worried or not
You cannot guess & no one on a social media forum can guess either.
If it is broken and then not set correctly your going to have decades of aching pain to come every cold months
Worst case you’ve wasted 8 hours in A&E … big deal
Many years ago, I clobbered my foot on a protruding kerb whilst (slowly) riding a bike. Hurt like hell, I thought I'd sprained something, strapped it up and carried on.
A few years back I was getting a bad ache in my ankle, such that I eventually got it looked at. After an x-ray, the consultant asked me "when was it that you broke your ankle?". Didn't know I had, but the x-ray showed the track of the previous break. The upshot was, the untreated break has triggered arthritis in the big bone in my ankle and there's not a lot that can be done about it. Apparently had I sought treatment at the time, this may not have developed, or maybe not yet.
So yeah, get it looked at!

I go to our local minor injuries unit for this sort of stuff. Usually easy to get seen, can do x-rays and will send you elsewhere if necessary.
