My daughter's been recommended by a chiropractor to use a percussion massager for a muscle problem.

They seem to be available at a wide range of price points... does anyone have any pointers for what's worth the dosh, and what's not?

Thanks!

They are really good and you normally get what you pay for. However I would probably advise getting the best value cheap one until you know it’s going to work for you. Some people can’t get on with them.

Do they actually work versus a nobbly foam roller? Been looking at them but can’t actually find any guidance beyond the actual marketing machine of the suppliers.

They work well but slightly different from foam rollers (and a normal hand massage)
They are good for really tight/tense muscles and can offer relief..

I had one which I bought for around £70 on Amazon - eventually gave up the ghost but I got a lot of use out of it.

And that one's in the cheap-but-not-too-cheap pile (with plenty of head choices which could help), so I guess we will go for that one smile
