And I'm not talking of those who use this label for other activities...

I have a massage therapist coming to Spoon manor this Thursday. Mrs Spoon gets 1 hour as do I. Now I wouldn't entertain inviting said masseuse if Mrs Spoon wasn't to be here (just feels odd) compared to visiting a spa, but I enjoy a decent massage and it certainly helps with my recovery from training.

The question is to those who have used home visiting massage therapists, will this be any different to a health club experience? Do i set music?

I get a massage every 4 weeks but in a salon, had a therapist do a home visit while I was off work after a car accident but in general I find it cheaper to go to a salon

Absolutely! Your own music is one of the advantages of home massage. As are the choice of scented candles and whether or not to be naked.

Not me, but our dog goes to a massage therapist once a month to help with his arthritis. I thought it was a waste of money at first, but it definately seems to help. Thinking about getting some myself now !

Does your dog get to choose his / her own music?

No, but he does fart a lot during it laugh Apparently it's normal though. Does the same happen at a human massage ?

I've not had one come to my home, but I used to use one that did it from her home. Always felt a but like a punter visiting a lady of the night. For the record I don't know what that actually feels like.

Can't imagine it felt very safe for her. You really don't know who it is.

Go for a thai massage in town every now and then. the farting issue can be managed, although others being massaged in the other room you can sometimes here, the danger time being when they move to turn around lol.... been some right crackers.

did the home massage thing but it can be a bit more expensive. have someone helping me with my knee after a bike incident, and she was really really good. some of the stories that she could tell. there are a few weirdos out there... she used to advertise on gumtree but gave that up said that when she put in strong wording about no other services, she said it used to get more interest...

an absolute whizz with the muscular skeleton pains...
