Why do colds hang around so long sometimes?
Discussion
I'm sick of this one. Had it bad for a week, then recovered mostly in week 2 but the last 5% I've had for 3 weeks, just can't shake it off. Constant minor head cold. I do all things you're supposed to to get better (exercise, good food, fluids etc.) but it seem to be getting better by about 1% a day....
I had a stinker for about three weeks, did four negative tests, sinus infection and conjunctivitis thrown in too. It finally cleared up last weekend and I had a few days respite. I felt unwell again on Thursday, was feeling pretty wretched and tested positive on Friday, but it's about gone overnight.

I've had something similar. I attribute it to a good old fashioned cold, which started to shift about the same time as tree pollen became heavy. I have never suffered with hay fever, but I think an already uppity respiratory tract has been further irritated by pollen.
