I'm 50 this month, does this normally trigger any invitations for health checks by your GP? What might that entail?

Don't recall ever receiving one when I was 40, or since.

I asked my doctor for a health “MOT” at age 40 and then again 50.

It involved checking weight, blood pressure, and a blood test which included the PSA for prostate.
For me everything was within normal ranges, so all good.

I wasn’t invited along, I proactively made the appointments.

I had to ask at 50, and I ask once a year. 59 now. One thing I started on my 50th birthday, 75mg of dispersible aspirin every day. Based on a survey of 1, 9.5 years later and no heart attacks or strokes. So it works.
