All,

For context, I have a traumatic brain injury that has been well managed and I think is pretty much under control.

That said, the last few days have been pretty rough.

I took a week off from the gym and started training yesterday again - I was totally wiped out last week.

Last Thursday (off week from the gym) - I woke up with an awful headache and I was super sensitive to light - I didn't realise it, until I turned my lamp on and it was like a thousand daggers in my head, awful. - I slept well that evening and woke up seemingly fine.

Today (Tuesday) I felt wiped out again, totally exhausted, still trained though. Coming back, I was listen to my iPod (as I always do when walking back from the gym) and the music / noise was unbearable - tearing headphones out unbearable. I came home and I've been out of action with the curtains closed for the past 2 hours or so....

Obviously none of this is enjoyable, does anyone have any suggestions?

Part of my tbi management is relatively low sugar, caffeine (stimulants etc) and I haven't drunk alcohol since I was 18, no smoking etc.

Not sure if it's time to seek some help - or whether I should wait it out?

Get to a doctor.

There's been two brain injuries in my family (stroke and burst aneurysm). Both were 999 calls. Paramedics thought that the first might be migraine but MRI confirmed ischaemic stroke.

Call the doctor .

I would suggest a call to 111 tonight and get them to book you in to A&E asap. It'll save time compared with phoning your GP who may refer you and then you'll be waiting weeks.

You have a brain injury. You are having headaches.
Why would you even need to ask random people on the internet.
If you dont feel right go see a doctor. Either phone your gp and get an appointment with your brain injury consultant or go to a+e if its as bad as you claim.
