Dizzy spells after walking?
Discussion
Bit of background... I lost 8 stone about 4 years back and was happily maintaining it until I lost my job and covid hit within the space of a few weeks. Mental health took a serious downturn and I put about 3 stone back on over the last 18 months or so. Finally got my st together about 6 weeks before christmas, then had some food and drink over christmas, and started back with the exercise/healthy eating regime afterwards.
In order to speed up the progress ive got into the habit of doing an hour or so brisk walk at lunchtime at least 4 times a week. Typically 3-4 miles, also tieing this in with a couple of gym visits a week. What I'm finding though is that after a walk, I am getting dizzy and a bit lightheaded for an hour or so afterwards. Is this likely to be dehydration? I have upped my water intake but wondering if its enough?
Edit: also suffering from very cold extremities (hands especially) since starting this routine. Could it be related?

Don’t mean to scare you, but have you had any of the mRNA vaccines? A chap my wife treated suffered a blood clot (lungs I believe) after his Pfizer booster and had cold extremities and dizzy spells (plus breathlessness and chest pain).
Seriously!! Another opportunity to bang on about anti-vaxxing!! OP, you should consult your GP rather than a chat thread on Pistonheads. Could be any number of things from not serious to more serious so best not to speculate.MrBig said:

It could be something simple, such as low blood sugar. It used to get to me sometimes, but I manage it now with slightly sugary snacks.
What it most certainly is, is something you should see your GP about.
