St Johns Wort V CBD oil

I’m looking for advice please.
After taking St Johns Wort for over 30years for mild depression, (it really worked) no side effects at all, but it doesn’t mix with a lot of other medications. I would like to wean myself off it now, one reason is the latest medication for the treatment for covid, it can kill you if you are on SJW, along with other meds having contraindications with SJW.
I’m looking at CBD oil, now there’s a minefield! Does anyone on here use it for mild depression? Is it any good?
I suppose I’ll have to go cold turkey from SJW first, I just need advise please.
