No idea. Had been on holiday in rural Dorset. Could have been from a pub, shop, ferry, etc. Didn't have close contact with anyone except wife and kids who did not catch it.

I've had it twice, first time was probably a site visit for work (construction site) and second time was my other half who caught it at work (youth sports coach).

Other: Supermarket 4 days before Christmas 2020. Luckily we were on our own like everyone and it was the only place we had been.

We both succumbed on Christmas Day. Managed to get through dinner but were in bed by 6pm and woke up still feeling rather ill so off for PCR’s on Boxing Day.

It’s difficult to say. I tested positive this week, after spending Christmas Day with family. My brother was positive before christmas, but tested negative on LFT’s on the 23&24th so was free after 7 days as per new guidelines. In theory then not from him, but I did spend three hours sat next to him!

Other than that I’d not spent significant amounts of time in anyone else’s company, certainly none that have since tested positive.

I currently still have no symptoms, had I not tested for work I’d be none the wiser.

Im just starting isolation

I work in a pub, get there by public transport, live near the hospital, seen family that was unwell(non covid) recently, was in a shopping centre the day before symptoms started and have 2 family living with me who have been out and about over christmas so its no real suprise I have covid now.

Only saving grace is Im in isolation until the 9th and the on holiday 10-16th january.

A fair question. And maybe my language was a bit clumsy. Maybe prolonged(> 1 minute) close contact is more accurate. Both pubs we ate outside at a table, but I did go inside once. Most of the shops I was outside with the dog, except a supermarket for about 15 minutes and a gift shop which allowed dogs.... Still no idea though.....

We live in a small village and have been using the local pub once or twice a week since July. It's a proper old pub, doesn't do food and we all stand around at the bar chatting and behaving like it's 2019. Mostly the same group of people and no sign of Covid all year.

27th Dec they held a quiz and there were a few locals who had family visiting for Christmas that came along with them. We both woke up with coldlike symptoms on 29th and tests came back positive. Very quickly it became clear that almost everyone in the pub that night was testing positive on the 29th/30th. No idea who, but the assumption is one of the visitors arrived in the village with it and it the pub was the perfect spreading event. As a follow up, I'm not aware of anyone who has been properly ill with it, even the older ones, and for most it's just been a mild cold for a day or two.

The moral of the story I guess is that if the pub had been closed and/or visitors had been banned we wouldn't have got it but on the other hand none of us got ill enough to have warranted that sort of action.

I got it in June from my ex girlfriend. It was actually the weekend we broke up and we then spent isolation together. Very weird alright.

Really not sure, presume at the gym as I had only been at the gym/swimming before getting a positive on the 25th.

Seems like an utterly stupid question to ask. There's absolutely no way of anybody knowing where they caught it from. It'd be just pure guess work.

I've not had it, apart from some weird thing I had new year 2019.

Feel left out.

Voted no idea. Not really changed any behaviour that I didn’t have to (aside from things outside of my control). also didn’t feel unwell, but did lose taste and smell for a while. Combined with the children reporting the same assume we’ve all had it at some point.

Actually, did get ill in March 2020, but there weren’t any tests back then.

Had it late in November. I don’t really see many people other than family, none of whom had it at a similar time. Only other possible place is Supermarket but masks were only brought back in (compulsory) a few weeks before that having not been using masks for 6 months or so.

I do wonder if it was Omicron which was just been talked about at the time I got it, but unless it was widespread in uk weeks before officially thought then seems unlikely.

From a friend at a local food festival.

Same friend got it from a lad he works with and shares a van with all day.
