Headache after fast food.
Discussion
I don't eat fast food very often, it's an option of last resort if I'm travelling and it's too late to get anything else.
Friday mid afternoon I had no option but to eat a burger and fries from a well known chain.
By 3am that night I was up with an utterly biblical headache that was worse if I lay down, by 6.15 I have chucked up and I then spent the whole of Saturday in bed sat up trying to doze.
I managed to sleep last night but I still have a mad headache all around the top of my head and behind my eyes.
Didn't eat a thing yesterday, only drank water.
I'm sure its the food because I get a headache every time I eat there but this is the worst one yet.
Anyone else get this ?

I had that as an option but I drank a litre yesterday, and had been drinking water and tea throughout Friday as well as other food once I'd got home later that night, I don't drink alcohol at all.
This headache happens every time I eat a Ming, it's like there is a chemical or preservative that is present in the food that I can't cope with.
Normally I can take some paracetamol and carry on but this time it's rendered me useless for a whole day so far.

It could be this monosodium glutamate poisoning
Flushing, sweating, chest pain, and weakness are all potential reactions to monosodium glutamate, or MSG, a flavor enhancer and popular ingredient in many Asian cuisines. Other symptoms include headache, facial pressure, drowsiness, and numbness and tingling in the face, back, and arms.

No option? Really?
Been out all day driving, utterly hungry and the only food 9n offer was KFC of MC Ming, or some limp sandwiches in odd flavours from the fuel station.Went with Ming because the other guy I was working with wanted to.
I would be surprised if it’s not either fat, sugar or salt that’s caused it.
Maybe try a control. Try something from each of those groups that’s doesn’t have much of the other and see which one does you in. It may also be one of those in conjunction with being exhausted or dehydrated or stressed.
You need to rule things out and / or keep a diary of the day and then compare back.
From what I’ve read sugar can have a big impact on the head if your body isn’t dealing with it properly.

I would try the fast food again to check.
I get sinus headaches from even small quantities of many, but not all, alcoholic drinks. It took a bit of experimentation to determine which were safe.

My sister mentioned that Fanta has the same effect on her. I've not tried it.I've never discovered what it is that I am allergic to, although dark beers are better than hoppy ones and "organic wine" doesn't appear to cause me problems.
My blood pressure is "textbook".
