My wife is suffering horribly from a trapped nerve that causes her pain and numbness in her right shoulder and arm. Right down to trembling and tingling in her fingers. She has been to the doctors and a specialist through the NHS and had an MMR scan that apparently identified that a nerve was being pinched where it exits the spinal canal in the cervical vertebrae. They have promised physiotherapy apparently, but things being what they are in the health service, this could take forever. meanwhile she's in pain and has trouble sleeping etc.
I'm a bit dubious that physiotherapy can tackle this, but what do I know? Are there any physios in the house that can lead us toward the right sort of exercises on line somewhere?
Thank you

someday

I had a trapped nerve, not sure where but it was my shoulder area that hurt. Spent weeks having x-rays etc on the NHS eventually they said see physio but was looking at months for an appointment. Went private and it was cured in 2 sessions

my ex went on a fair ground ride, got off with neck pain. Woke up next day and couldnt move, said it was worse than labour! She was then bed/house bound with one of our kids having to stay at hers every night to help, she couldnt work and as shes self employed had no income.

She went to a pain clinic, load of drugs didnt touch it, 2 MRI, more drugs just got a bit of relief. After 6 weeks had a nerve block which took a week to kick in and has restored some kind of normality/work. She payed for it all privately as didnt get to see a NHS dr even once...
