Not sure if this should be in the 'Homes etc.' section or this Health section, but as it's about improving drinking water quality for health... smile

As per title, really - I need to get a water filter for home but I don't want to end up spending ££ a month on replacement filters.

I know that Sawyer water filters (and the like) can be back-washed and re-used, but they seem to be only available in 'travel solutions'.

Are there similar available for home??

All recommendations would be very gratefully received! smile

You want a Berkey - they are amazing and have been recommended by homeopaths and the like for illnesses with toxicity sensitivities - filters last 11 years

Only downside is they are not concealed

indeed, pure water, still retains the memory of the substance it previously contained, so filtering is going to do diddly squat to remove toxins.

I'm, er, not sure of the physics/chemistry on that? lol

Thanks for the tip, I'll look at those.

11 years for a filter would be acceptable, lol - I've been looking at reviews and it seems many of the 'jug filters' that claim over a month of use might only last 3 weeks or even just a week, which is not a sustainable option financially or environmentally!

When I’m looking for any health or scientific advice, homeopaths are my first port of call.

I think the work they have done during COVID is amazing.

How many lives have they saved? I understand that some hospitals told staff to go home as a group of homeopaths would take over for a few days.

If I was buying a water filter their endorsement would be good enough for me and I’m no gullible fool.
