I'm at a loss...

Every year in October I have a bought of near fainting - I never actually pass out but do come close. Happened yesterday evening.
All the usual symptons, start to get a bit dizzy, then lethargic, then a bit nauseaus, then i need to sit down before i'm forced to haha!

It's something i just dont get at any other time of year.

It started in 2018 and every year it happens, just the once.
I got a cardiologist to check me over when it first happened and he put it down to Vasovagal Syncope.
He said my blood pressure was on the low side, but nothing dangerous.

The strange this is, i just don't get it at any other time of the year.
It's definitley not physocological as it's not something I think about until thse episodes remind me.

The only thing that might be related is I do tend to get a bought of flu alrund this time (have just had a bad cold).
In 2018 it did show that I had Influenza A. The Cardiologist just shrugged that off, although i'm not sure he just wanted to run loads more private tests.

It *could* be psychological. Physical 'symptoms' like this are sometimes caused by unconscious stuff.

For example, I get anxious at the end of summer, even though I don't have anything particularly to worry about. When I think about it, I suspect it's because September was the month when the holidays were over and I'd have to go back to school - which was unsettling.

Although 'psychosomatic' is sometimes used disparagingly to suggest someone's symptoms aren't 'real', psychomatic conditions are genuine.

Appreciate the guess, but trust me this is very different.
I know all to well how physological symptoms can be felt physically - and i also appreciate there are many people that won't accept that (i'm certainly not one of them). But there are no concious or subconcious events or stresses that could have caused such an episode and i only connected the dots this morning - so to speak. PS: I actually like winter and love autumn.

Syncope is a recorded/known about post viral "thing", albeit not that common

Very interesting.
I am straight off the bat of a bad virus (not covid) and I know that was the case in 2018 too.
Can't recall last year but it is possible due to the time of year.

In both instances I was in that phase where you feel better but still very lethargic and with the lingering cough.
