Are some better than others?

My other half's cousins' husband is currently in rehab for drink, following an episode of drink driving that resulted in a collision. He's been in before and left of his own accord / failed to finish the programme.

I suspect you've got to be at rock bottom yet motivated to change. Not an easy combination.

A good friend of my did more than one stint in rehab. In terms of sunshine, one option I know he attended was ‘Stepping Stones’ in Cape Town, South Africa. Yes, there is the cost of getting there and back but even accounting for that it was cheaper than the Priory in the UK.

Ultimately, you need to go into this wanting to get better. If you don’t take it seriously, it’s less likely to work.

What kind of "rehab"? Its an over used term often used to represent any mental health/addiction services.

Unless you have deep pockets or good health insurance then you wont be getting nice places like you see on TV and celebrity shows.
