Do these moles look dodgy?
Discussion
I am awaiting a doctors appointment and have seen 2 locals chemists (one said he’s not sure, the other said seem ok). But thought I’d ask here as well
I’m not sure when these moles appeared but I’d say within the last few years. I’m 41 now. They aren’t itchy or bleeding.
There seems to be a few with 2 that are bigger than the rest.
Didn’t think anything of them until the mrs saw them and now she’s got me worried……
They certainly don’t look like typical skin cancer moles after some Googling. Although it suggests new moles aren’t good.

Having had a run in with skin cancer some years ago, I would say hold out until you get an informed opinion from your Dr not the internet!
Im sorry to hear that hope you've recovered fully now.Your right, just worrying really. I went and saw someone a few hours ago who's good with this type of thing and she thinks its ok and may possibly even be a reaction from the naproxen i take fairly often.
Either way got an appointment for next tuesday

That could be my arms. I'm covered in them, so was my dad.
Always best to get checked but it wasn't them that got my dad in the end.
I always look at mine to see if there are any changes in shape, edges, colour and if crusty, itchy or bleeding.
I'm sure it's nothing but always get it checked if concerned.

to update this.
The moles are ok, basically some kind of wart (sounds sexy) which is from what i gather from sun exposure.
I have been told they are fine but to keep an eye on them.
Probably Seborrheic Keratoses, my back and sides are covered in them (must be literally hundreds). I lived on the edge of the Kalahari Desert for 8 years in the 1970's and the sun must have destroyed my skin then as I didn't have any until a few years after returning to UK.The moles are ok, basically some kind of wart (sounds sexy) which is from what i gather from sun exposure.

You know what im 99% sure thats what she said they were, i do have a bit of paper somewhere so ill check.
For me i have worked outside for the last 24 years, never worn sun screen(i know i know) as i don't burn generally, i just go very very dark very quickly.
Put it this way, when i have been to places like florida and used to have a shaved head people would speak Spanish to me and i also never ever got any trouble

Same here, darkish skinned (inherited from my mothers Italian forbears) and never wore sun screen either and nor did anybody I worked with, the fair haired ones used to burn horribly. Was thinking of visiting that Dr Emma Craythorn off the Skin Doctors on the TV to get some of the really raised crusty ones removed as I tend to scratch them during the night without realising and then they bleed a bit.
I had a red mark on my back that I noticed a couple of months ago. Noticed recently it was still there and a bit itchy at times.
Doctor thinks it’s a Basel Cell Carcinoma a form of skin cancer so awaiting an appointment at spire as the nhs is a year at least to get it seen.
Apparently not serious if sorted early but want rid asap!

That’s surprising to hear you’ve been told the wait would be that long. I had a strange patch of skin on my forehead that I went to the doctor about last month. He didn’t like the look of it and referred me to a dermatologist at the hospital who I saw within two weeks. Apparently not serious if sorted early but want rid asap!
They took a look and it was biopsied about 15 minutes later and I had the results confirming a BCC the following week. I should be having it removed next month, all on the NHS.

Doc was very confident that it is a BCC but said it’s not something that gets a 2 week fast track. Not that easy to even get a private appointment now as it’s confirmed for early November. Cutting it fine for Bupa cover as I won’t have acccess to it after this year! They took a look and it was biopsied about 15 minutes later and I had the results confirming a BCC the following week. Great service for yours!
