Are colds worse after Jabs? Or are colds more progressive/quicker to infect and generally get you down after it?

Now on my second cold since June, 10month old got a cold and symptoms that went in two days and now missus has it and me too.

Done tests and its not Covid btw!

I haven't had a cold since the pandemic started (I'll bloody get one now after saying that!) I've had both the astrazeneca jabs and no signs of a cold or anything afterwards.

Probably more to do with the fact that we have all been shut up for a year and are now out mingling again. No immunity and perfect conditions for spreading them.

We think it's this lack of colds, however had one in June as well. Chest seems to be suffering more as well with the last two.

Maybe I'm just getting old lol

I know a few who’ve had persistent coughs following their injections. Not noticed any of them having more severe colds.

Same here, started with a runny nose/sneezes and tested negative at that point but positive now

Fingers crossed it'll be really mild , my worse days were the weds/thurs then bounced back really quick bar lack of smell and taste.

More to do with you having a 10 month old than anything else probably. They catch everything and pass it on.

Was similar for me March last year. Two-three days of feeling awful and struggling to move, followed by just coughing up lots of gunk each morning for a couple of weeks.

Oh i never ended up with the coughing up gunk bit or struggling to move , if what i've had is standard this vaccine has made a huge difference.

Most people we know who’ve had it “bad” have had little more than a cold. My wife always tells me I was in a worse state than most of the Covid patients she’s had in A&E hehe

I had a startling - rather than 'bad' - reaction to my first jab, and then four days later had my first ever food allergy reaction. I'm now allergic to mustard.

No cold though. smile

I wasn't talking about after the jab as I had that in June.

im talking about when getting colds in general.

We was getting better, little man has got better with just a temp at 37, but we've both gone back to square one again with chesty coughs and sore throats.
