Are many lockdown kettlebells etc. still being used?
Discussion
I've been looking for used 30-40Kg kettlebells (or even 16-24Kgs, to make up pairs) and the prices (similar to vans and campers) are still very high.
I do wonder how many of them, and other training equipment, are still being used rather than gathering dust/holding doors open/holding clothes.
When are people going to start flogging them off?!

There are tons of them in the Canadian version of T K Maxx at the moment, although not that heavy. Also seem to be lots more coming on to facebook here.
I'd like more too. My adjustable one is getting a lot of use still.
Tons of them in TK Maxx UK too though probably too light for the OP, My wife picked up a couple there a few weeks agoI'd like more too. My adjustable one is getting a lot of use still.

They’ve definitely had 20kg ones locally but don’t recall seeing anything heavier. There is a lot of quite good home exercise equipment in those stores here, so maybe worth a look. I’m guessing demand has dropped off.

I am still using mine. To stop the exercise mat from curling up, due to lack of use.I do wonder how many of them, and other training equipment, are still being used rather than gathering dust/holding doors open/holding clothes.

24kg+ is quite rare and quite pricey regardless
Ive got a 20kg one (or maybe 24?) ive been using on and off for years and enjoy it, but its too heavy for anyone non serious, my misses cant even lift it to move it out the way.
I think you would be better off just buying now full price , if anyone buys them as a fad I reckon they would be 16kgs or less - plus going 20kgs + without building up and good form is guaranteed to get you at best a hernia - at worse a smashed window!

I came VERY close to spending nearly £400 on a 60kg kettlebell last year. I was almost desperate to get my hands on some decent weight.
In the end, I (rightly, imo) concluded that it was madness, so I made up a 60kg KB myself, but in doing so, it took one of my 40kg dumbbells and one of my 20kg kettlebells out of commission.
My next move was to get adjustable clamps fabricated, so that I could combine the two at will. If they close the gyms again, I'm definitely getting the clamp made
I actually just ended up duck-taping the KB & DB together! The ratchet straps that I ordered kinda worked, but weren't brilliant, so I returned them and went down the duck tape route.

Just get tape and a Stanley knife- combine the two at will - job jobbed In the end, I (rightly, imo) concluded that it was madness, so I made up a 60kg KB myself, but in doing so, it took one of my 40kg dumbbells and one of my 20kg kettlebells out of commission.

I'm not new to kettlebells (and also swing clubs and maces). 24kg is a good weight for a range of exercises for a conditioned male with decent form. I'm only 81kg, not a big chap.Ive got a 20kg one (or maybe 24?) ive been using on and off for years and enjoy it, but its too heavy for anyone non serious, my misses cant even lift it to move it out the way.

I currently have 12Kg of dumbell plates taped to the bottom of my 24kg for sets of 2 hand swings, and could take it further, but would like to have my 24kg available.
A 36-40kg would be a good base for adding plates for swings, but I may just buy another 24Kg.
