Had my second moderna this morning. Feel like utter ste right now...

Thing is, I've re-read the info pack, and it contradicts itself!

Seek urgent medical attention for ANY of this list. The highlights are pertinent.

Cause it then says this:

Really common (and indeed a rarer) side effect - but just chat to your doc or nurse. Except they're the same symptoms as above...

Now, I'm a reasonably intelligent bloke. Yet I've just agonised over whether to call 999/111 or just pop some paracetamol and go to bed... As it is, I've landed on 111 - and forced myself to not hang up every time they've told me there's high volumes as I don't want to waste their time.

Mentioned it to 111, they drew a blank (inferred I might be confused about what I was reading - I think it's pretty unequivocal).

What's the view? Am I a muppet (I feel like ste - light headed, chills, etc.) - it wouldn't be the first time?

Or is it actually contradictory and unnecessarily confusing, and therefore I should at least try to notify 'someone' to try and resolve it?

Surely a side effect can be common but still need you to seek urgent medical can’t it?

Then why say 'speak to doctor or nurse' (with zero hint of urgency)?

If it was a "1 in 10" side effect that requires urgent medical attention - surely we'd be hearing a lot more about it?

I genuinely don't know. Hence the post!

Are you experiencing those side-effects? If so, be a grown-up and make a decision for yourself.

If not, stop being a fanny.

I am (waiting on clinical assessment call now to determine if they're due to one of the minor symptoms that can be ignored, or separate and therefore worrying) - and I have.

Now, there's also a bit there which is if this is misleading, then surely it needs fixing. Which I'm more than happy to put some effort to help others if I can figure out how to inform the right people so they can.

Mainly as I can well imagine how my MiL, or anyone with below average reading skills could be completely confused - and could well make the wrong decision.

Edited due to being too abrupt - apologies, I'm not feeling myself.

I'll still try to chase down contact info for 'someone' who can review the legibility of the leaflet.

In terms of my symptoms, well three hours ago 111 said I needed a clinical assessment within an hour. That was three hours ago, so I can only assume the assessor has looked through my case and dismissed it. I'm certainly feeling better than I was (massively so) - so I'm feeling a lot more confident that the 'urgent' symptoms I experienced (shortness of breath, light headedness) were due to the violent chills/shivering I was experiencing rather than something more serious as an allergic reaction.

So I'm off to bed.

If I'm wrong, and I've just been missed - well, it's been nice knowing you!
