I’ve got some bloody annoying tags under my arm that I want to remove. I was proposing to buy one of those freezing spray type things to zap them, is this a good idea or is there a better way that doesn’t involve garden shears and petrol?

You do need to be careful. I had one removed professionally from my face. Just at the top of my beard area so worried about chopping it off. She said it'd have bled and bled!

She used some liquid to dissolve it, took no time and didn't hurt. You can tie some cotton around some and they fall off after a while, but for £20 it's probably worth seeing a professional!

I used a pen shaped device from amazon that puts a tiny elastic band around the base of the tag. After a few days it fell off.

I had one just below my eye. Went to doctors and they wouldn't freeze it so told me to cut it off with a pair for nail clippers. I did it, bled quite a lot but healed eventually.

I had one on my leg a couple of weeks ago, I tried getting thread round it but kept missing, I lost patience and cut it off with nail scissors. It bled for a while!

I had a skin growth on my upper eyelid which wasn’t causing me any issues but I wanted it gone. I found a practice local to me who use a treatment called ACP Electrolysis to get rid of it.

The treatment consisted of a needle-like implement being repeatedly touched on the site of the growth. It’s a very strange sensation and can get a bit hot at times! I reckon it took around two-three minutes in total. I also had a prominent mole in my hairline removed, which took longer as it was bigger.

Have to say, I’m absolutely amazed by the results. My eyelid healed perfectly within 7-10 days and the mole site still has some slight pigment but is otherwise perfectly flat now.

It cost me £100, so maybe not the cheapest method but I wouldn’t hesitate using them again. I suspect skin tags would be cheaper than this as they should be super quick.

I tied one with thread on my eye lid years ago, came off within the week. Tying it while looking in a mirror took ages.

I cut them off with nail clippers and stop the bleeding with a shaving alum block.

I had two monster ones on my back and used a freeze kit from Boots on them.

https://www.boots.com/cryotag-skin-tag-remover-102...

You do get a few sticks to use for the money, It comes with a pair of tweezers that you use to pull the tag up then you freeze the base of it.

It stings for a could of days and goes black and eventually just falls off you.

They did bleed a couple of times whilst I was in bed but I put it down to knocking them about.

You wouldn’t even that I had the pair of them now plus it saved me the hassle of going to the docs to have them sorted.

Thanks for the advice, it’s a toss up between the freezing option and the little rubber band option… I shall report back with the results

Same, had one on my eye and used the band method. It does depend on the size though. Tiny ones may need to nail-clippers!

I'm finding it quite amusing how many people did the nail clipper treatment.

I have done it this way too. Quick clip , put a plaster over it for a day. Forget about it. Gone
