I had this 7-8 yrs ago, convinced my self it was measles although doc thought some sort of allergic reaction.

Small red rash, feels like my skins on fire and can't settle, just had a shower and feel st.

Any ideas? I don't think it's allergic, I've not been gardening much, not changed washing powder or soap, doesn't feel like a heat rash. I may have been bitten by a mosquito last night but wouldn't be the 1st time.

I'm T1 diabetic, blood sugars are through the roof, usually a sure sign somethings wrong.

ETA you can add vomiting and soft stools to the list.

I think the rash was a red herring.

Nova virus is my best guess.

Rash could be scabies.

Nora virus/ other infection most likely. However if it doesn’t settle you can get this type of skin manifestation in coeliac disease, and it would account for the gut disturbance too. More common in diabetes. See your GP for a blood test.

The bizarre thing, so ill this morning Mrs Doing called the ambulance (and I allowed her)

Cancelled an hour later when the retching and diarrhoea stopped, dozed no energy. Plenty of water and light lunch, stayed down.

Just feeling tired now.

Weird.

You're at high risk of DKA and should be seen in A&E for monitoring of your DM status and some antibiotics.

Don't be a hero.

I don't think antibiotics are much help in these situations.
My BS comes down to safe levels quickly, insulin/carb ratio has to go up. I've been awash with the stuff for the last 24hrs.

Adjusting insulin/carb ratio via bolus/basal is part of daily life. I tend to know if I've picked something up before symptoms show, even stress knocks it about.
