Looking for some advice please. I exercise for 45 - 60 mins 5 days a week, a mixture of running, weights and punch bag, I'm in decent shape but I'm approaching 40 and starting to get what my friend described as "moobs" I've got a fairly big Chest for my height but I'm losing definition as I get older (40 next year) any advice on best exercise to firm up my chest please, not trying to get rock hard pecks but don't want d cups either

Push ups- can’t go wrong with push-ups.

Or lay on your back and lift kettle bells, I always found that less boring than push ups.

Press ups and dumbell press will hit your chest more than bench press, but bench press is also excellent.

Cable machine crossovers, and repeat, do these in at least 3 different positions.

Dips are good, but can be punishing on the shoulder joints and connective tissue. You can compromise by doing these one arm at a time on a cable machine though.

Thanks all, will start with more push ups and some bench press then move onto the others.

And re the comments on moobs being fat, I did wonder if there was a correlation between my love of beer and kebabs and the existence of the moobs but decided that they can't be in any way related as kebabs have salad and beer is made from natural ingredients lol

Hi, yes, sorry never want to be the person who starts but doesn't complete a thread
I've been doing more press ups and chest press trying to increase the volume each day
Currently on 80 press ups and 60 chest press (180 total rather than 60 total) in 3 different positions (flat, slight raise more raise)

I'm starting to feel a difference, so thank you for your input everyone

Just one persons opinion but I reckon that is too much volume. Make them harder rather than upping the volume.

Also, do some pulling exercises to balance it out.

I agree, being able to do more press ups is always good, but you don’t want to be doing so many reps during your bench press, aim for a weight you can do 20-30 with, and progress by upping the weight, not reps.

What equipment do you have access to?

Thanks, will reduce the reps and increase the weight.

I have access to:
Weight bench (adjustable)
Dumbbells
Bar bell
Trx bands
Punch bag

It's not a bra... It's a sports chest support... I'm told top athletes wear them too.

Why, have they grown tits? I saw a jogger wearing one today, what ever for. It's effing funny though. its a fashion thing in much the same way today's dogs wear harnesses.

If a person wants to look feminine then that's his wifes choice.

Slightly off topic, why was the footballer wearing one in the euro's? Another guy was wearing a mask, does anybody know why that was?
