Morning all,

I'm fat, very fat and need to lose weight, lots of it. I'm also secretary of a Step 6 non-league football club near Bristol who, like many others, haven't brought in much revenue these past 15-18 months aside from grants.

So I thought I'd combine the two in a little challenge.

I'm going to try to lose six stone this season. It starts on Saturday 31st July and ends on Saturday 30th April, a total of 39 weeks so it works out at just over two pounds per week. Had thought about doing it for charity but a lot of local clubs have had success with crowdfunders bringing in money, this seems a little bit quirky too. Also, I'm in the position to offer, say, a match ticket to everyone that donates £10, a page advert in the matchday programme for a £50 donation and a season ticket for a £100 donation.

I'm looking for a name for the challenge so I can start publicising it. I've got "Fatness to Fitness" and "Fatty to Footie" already but they just don't sit right. Can the PH creative come up with anything better? No prizes, just for fun.

Go.

Good luck with your challenge.

My son has lost 5stone in 130 days, the motivation was he couldn’t fit in our race car seat and I said I wouldn’t put a new seat in.

Not good at names so can’t help with it, ( other than the 39 steps)

But hope you do it.

That’s good going, I lost a stone in just under a month when I discovered my race suit wouldn’t fit shortly before a rally recently.

Unfortunately since then I put half of it back on, and now I’ve got another rally in early September that will require a bit more weight loss as I’ll need to stay in the suit all day (multi venue event with lots of road miles instead of standing around a service area for hours eating cake between stages)

Good luck!
