Pip or personal independence payment as you may know is paid to help you stay in work albeit on reduced hours or by taking a lighter job.
I'm a way off retirement age but a career working with construction equipment and trucks on the spanners is taking it's toll.
I submitted a claim in February of this year and have had no acknowledgement since. I understand that the process will be slower at moment but I need to know. There is a phone number to ring but so far this week I've spent over 3 hours on hold to no avail. All I want is to ask if the claim is being dealt with.
What would be ideal is an email address for the relevant department of the dwp but it doesn't seem to be in the public domain. Can anyone help?

It is, unfortunately, very very slow at the moment.

Just turned 61. It took a great deal of soul searching to submit the application in the first place. Various injuries big and small that go with the job and now health issues are stacking up. What put the tin hat on it was a question from my eldest grandchild (4) "Grandad, you are very old" Well I want to see all three of them grow up .

Good on you. It does take a bit of balls to apply, it’s a tough process but hopefully you get it sorted ASAP.

I think it is a waiting game, just have to ride it out I think!

You probably won’t find too many on here with the same thoughts. I deal with lots of PIP recipients every year so I really get to see how st it can be getting old and ill so I do wish you all the best.

Very long winded process. I applied twice, got rejected twice.

They pick up on the most minute detail so information needs to be bang on.

From my experience, the Doctor thinking I'm able to claim and receive PIP due to ill health is completely different to how PIP see you themselves.
