See your GP. It’s probably just piles, but it might not be.

If it's bright red then most likely piles. Go to your Drs if you're worried...just hope he doesn't have fat fingers.

As above bright red is good news, dark red is not so good but both aren’t great.

It is likely piles but go to the GP now!!!

How many legs so the stools have? If I pass a 4 legged stool is usually easier than a 3 legged one.

May be an anal fissure as its fresh red blood. Its the brown dark red blood you have to be properly worried about.

If you are more concerned go see your gp and let them have a poke about.

Eat more veg and fibre.

Bright is good, means it’s fresh. You’ve probably burst your piles. Go to your GP anyway.

Might be Colitis rather than piles. Use Dr Google if the GP waiting time for an appointment is too long.
Though I think Colitis is more likely with loose stools rather than constipation type ones.

It may have been a high speed overtaking pass.

If your stool is hard, uncomfortable to pass it, and results in 'fresh' blood pouring into the toilet then it is likely to be a fissure.

Generally a fissure will be accompanied by a throbbing and soreness in your backside after you have just had a dump.

You can avoid fissures by always making sure your stools are the right consistency. They should not be hard, and you should not have to struggle or strain to pass them.

Check your diet and take the odd Senokot tablet if required to keep things moving as they should.

As the others say though, could be piles or otherwise, always best to get checked by your doctor.

Based on what you say it is most likely piles.
Can double check with the GP who may refer you to endoscopy to have a look.

The long and healthy life quiz.

Question 11 - You've just noticed you're bleeding out of your bum despite your last pegging role play session being some months ago - you both agreed you didn't enjoy it and you crying was demeaning for you and a turn off for her. Do you:

A) Quickly log into piston heads and ask a load car nerds what to do?

B) Seek the advice of medical professionals?

Answers - Mostly A. Whilst a typical manly Alpha male sadly your life exoectency is that of a victorian chimney sweep.

Answers - Mostly B. You will live a long and healthy life as a Beta male. It's time to try the role play again.

This. I've had it. My GP told me to go easy on the anal 'fun' - there's nothing passed my ring of fire in the wrong direction in my life! Cheeky git. It was a bugger (no pun intended) waiting for it to resolve, had to break the habit of a lifetime and use some prescription suppositories for several weeks. I went vegan and low fat/high fibre diet whilst it resolved, don't know if that helped but it made me feel like I was doing something positive to get over it.

The rotten bit is when it gets a bit infected and you have to have antibiotics - this is a drudge for me as I'm allergic to penicillin and have to take weird ones which, somewhat unhelpfully given the circumstances, cause constipation.

A 'tis a pure joy sometimes, life. A pure joy.

Good luck OP, but go to the doctor NOW.

Another vote for "probably piles."

I have the same issue intermittently. Sometimes quite a lot of blood ends up in the bowl and there is often a bit of darker blood mixed in with the fresh, particularly if it's the first dump of the day and it's been building up/clotting a bit overnight. My dad had prostate cancer a few years ago so I was a bit concerned but a quite examination from the GP including a completely painless rummage around with a well-lubed finger put my mind at rest. suppositories and creams are widely available.

Fibre is your friend here, Goosey.

If it persists it's worth going to get checked out. Takes five minutes and gives you peace of mind.

Have you put Beetroot into your diet recently? I'm not kidding!

I deposited what a first glance was a rather bloody load the other week to quite worrying degrees... until that was my wife commented the same, and then my son and we traced it back to a rather tasty beetroot and orange salad I'd made.

For goodness sake, just go to the doctor! When blood came out of my arse years ago, I couldn't get an appointment fast enough!
Men quite literally die because they won't go to the doctors about things such as this. For your sake, please book an appointment just to make sure it isn't anything serious.

In my case it turned out to be a fissure caused by hard stools. Doctor prescribed some in-arse steroids and it was fixed in no time. Never had an issue since as I keep an eye on my diet and take to odd Senokot tablet now and again.
