Knee and hip pain relief?
Discussion
This guy has a guide to many hip/knee symptoms but DIY diagnosis generally isn't recommended for moderate pain or worse https://www.sportsorthopaedicspecialist.co.uk/spor...
I'd have thought most local physios are still seeing patients and could give an opinion for £50+ (some like to sign people up for repeat appointments which gets costly though).

You need a diagnosis before targeted treatment .
Keep going on the path to see your GP
or
ask to see a specialist physio
or
ask to be seen in the hospital by a specialist
it's very difficult to suggest treatment without knowing what is wrong, which needs a face to face assessment by someone.

I would go straight to a private physio, they can either get to the bottom of it or at least arm you with the information needed to go back to NHS if required.
I did this after a bike crash and he was able to sort it, recommend some stretches going forward and all for under £100 and without an excessive wait.

im a postie so occupational hazard that comes on over time. Docs receptionist says im not allowed to talk to one and i have to treat it at home.
As MOBB said, Google some stretches. Physio can be expensive, and they don't always get to the route of the problem anyway. Certain lifestyle changes may be necessary. Try and work out which online clip matches your hip and knee pain, then follow online instructions for rehab.A500leroy said:

Probably Plantar Fasciitis. Or your walking gait is off (over/under pronation). Get yourself to a podiatrists or a running store and they will tell you in about 10 minutes. If you don't want to get anything checked and just want to try something get yourself a pair of "stability" running trainers - i suspect you will get releif straight away.
Example of said trainers: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 2.0

Buy some decent orthapedic walking shoes.
Have a look at the wear pattern on your current shoes. I bet you have worn the outside of the heel badly down.
