I moved dentist a year or so back who has replaced a filling and put filling in two other teeth, all bar one over a year ago. The filling still all hurt a bit nothing major but annoying somedays I need pain killers. I've had other fillings before from other dentist and never notice them infact I cant even tell what tooth they are in, the one he replaced never hurt before until he replaced it. Could it be the way he does them or even brand of material he uses, it just seems odd?

Thanks

Could be his method or how bad your tooth was. If he hit the nerve, the nerve can take ages/ possibly never to settle back down.

I had the same and got the dentist to flatten the filling as I was grinding against the opposite tooth. If it was a root filling I had an issue that in the end I got that fed up I had the tooth extracted.

White fillings in back teeth can be problematic. Sometimes it is just the bite that needs adjusting. They can set up stresses within the tooth or irritate the nerve and be sensitive to hot/ cold and biting pressure. If they are improving gradually I generally recommend to hold out. Otherwise replace the filling with thicker lining, adjust bite, consider full crown.
