Has anyone had this done before? Results? Satisfied with the process? What was the cost etc?

On a scale from 'George Dawes' to 'Chewbacca' I'm probably somewhere around Chimpanzee..

I use Veet (the good wife helps) on my back, probably once every 8 weeks.

SWMBO is suggesting to look into laser removal as a more permanent remedy.

Not me but someone i know has had it , with great success, she is very pleased with it. it took quite a while and was not cheap, she had it done at the local hospital privately.

Had my full back & shoulders done 8 years ago. I paid around £800ish for 6 sessions I think it was. I was treated at Sk:n clinic, there was a 50% off offer.
I was told because my hair was thick and dark it world hurt more than normal as the hair follicles absorb the laser better, she wasn’t wrong.
The first few sessions they had to turn the laser power down the pain was so intense.
I also had to take a few Diazepam before to calm me down as I have serious body confidence issues and I’ve never taken my top off in front of a female before, there were no male nurses that could do the treatment so I had to just get on with it.

8 years later it’s mostly grown back although a lot finer. Not sure id bother trying again. I did read recently about a new type of laser which supposedly yields much better results.
I just stick to never taking my top off or going swimming and just hiding myself away in general like I always have done throughout my life. I’m 40 now, I wish there were a miracle cure.

Sorry to be negative, just my experience.

ETA: Since my treatment m my friends partner had a job working at one of these places. If you register interest in a treatment and go in for a free consultation they’ll start chasing you after to get you have the treatment. You can play hardball and say it’s too expensive and they start offering you big discounts. Worth a try.

I've done this a few times, looking for something more permanent.
