Gents,
Over the last few months I have found my upper left leg going numb.
No sensation at all between knee and arse.
Yesterday at work it went numb again but as an added extra a spike of real pain was added every time my foot left the ground.
Pain is from below my arse to lower spine.
I need to be very mobile at work, a lot of walking is required, any ideas?

Doctor's appointment just in case you have an emerging problem with your back.

I've had this as a symptom of sciatica. Managed to get rid of it with a MRI, some targeted physio and plenty exercise and stretching.

However, a former colleague had the same symptoms around Christmas. He had a tumour on his spine. Long story short, he died last week.

So, could be anything really from mild to serious. You need to see a doctor, not a car forum.

Physio was stretches and strength exercises. Took months of experiments though. Various trial and error moves (as much physio is) until something works. No point sharing the exercises as half of them made things worse before we found the ones that helped. Also, they probably won't help if it's cancer, so probably best establish that first smile
