How long before bruising disappears after a break

I had an unfortunate accident in august which put me in a wheelchair till December, apart from ripping the ligaments in my left foot I managed to turn my right foot sideways breaking my ankle. I have had two foot rebuilds, infections and reactions, basically you name it and I have had it. Due to the infection I had to have my metalwork removed although the surgeon did admit to making the 2nd foot rebuild to tight, so metalwork removed at the end of November and I am finally on my feet and walking but not for long.

I have been told I still have 2 bugs under the skin and need to wait to see if I have a bone infection but (after reading all that) how long does it take for the bruising to disappear? I figured it would be gone by now but its still a yellow/greenish colour.

Certainly the last time I will ever jump out of my bloody van again.

There is no way to answer your question accurately, I'm afraid.
You say you might have osteomyelitis, this affects everything.
Ask your orthopaedic surgeon next time you chat to him/her.

Think it will be a waiting game, the hospital unfortunately did a number on me during my numerous stays and I now require diazepam just to take blood. I actually begged them to remove the foot in September, while I don’t have a crystal ball this foot will never be the same again. Also no where in my notes does it mention the damage to my left foot so my faith in my care is not the highest.
