I’m getting the usual start, but feel it’s early this year? Itchy eyes, runny nose. Not had the inflamed throat yet. Anybody else?

Yep. Luckily I don't get streaming eyes/nose and itchy eyes but I do get stuffy nose etc.

Started a week or so ago. It's normally middle of march or so when I start through to around June.

Theres barely a bud on the trees and the grass is under snow?

God knows. Only had this later in life. Tried both OTC pills, neither work.

Have you been dusting or hoovering recently. The dust in the air may be the problem.
We changed from a bagless vacum to a bagged vacum and this reduced my fiancees sneezing after we did the hoovering significantly.

Wife’s a bit OCD so no spring cleaning required. Definitely seasonal.

I know for certain I’m allergic to hazel nuts. So that’s very interesting. Thank you.

Interesting as one of my dogs suffers badly with hay-fever, last week she had the tell tale wet lines in her fur just under her eyes, plus her eyes were watery, we wondered whether she'd got something in them given its February, they are better now but it took a few days.

OP, it's probably covid. They've pretty much cornered the market with every symptom man can get now.

You'll be off to the vets to be put down soon enough hehe

It's for the best, it's surely better for mankind to extirpate feeble wusses to stop them
infecting the herd with their pathetic allergies and wearisome hypersensitivities to
basic things like dust, pollen, sunlight and ....... air ferrcrissakes.

I've had hayfever since I was a kid. I get it for the same two-three weeks every year. Around late June.

Anti-histamines or Clarityn work wonders for me.

Winter hay-fever definitely running full tilt this 2020/21 winter. Plenty of catkins etc around as well as some winter-flowering shrubs.

Hoovering isn't going to make any difference unless you can go out and hoover the great outdoors!

This season is an interesting case study because with reduced social mixing it's clearly not "just another minor cold"....

I've had severe symptoms the past few days, to the point of needing my Salbutamol inhaler, which is rare.

Triggers for me are:

Hazel catkins
Birch
Any Prunus family, ie flowering cherry
Rowan

I live in the boonies and am surrounded by these. Pretty as they are to look at, Spring is allergy misery.

I take half a Loratidine anti-histamine daily which seems to deal with the worst of it, topped up with full fat Sudafed (Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) if it gets really bad.

I start to suffer around this time. I find that the nasal sprays tend to work quite well.
