We have seen a Dr and a Specialist but they have no idea and with Covid things move really slowly so I'm looking for alternatives / suggestions to Google

My 12 yr old daughter who is healthy in every other way, started suffering with her toes / feet going dark red then purple and sometimes black, when they change colour they also become really "itchy" which is very uncomfortable, this started happening around 2 years ago

We all suffer from cold hands / feet

I have googled, they aren't dry and we've tried moisturiser, aloe vera, antihistamine etc

We recently saw a Consultant who basically said "I don't know but I don't think it's serious" and suggested the drug to increase her circulation which has limited effect but currently it's the itchy feet that are her main problem

It doesn't seem related to temperature, stress or food - it can flare up whilst she's watching TV or last night whilst she was eating dinner it does seem to be mostly in the evening

Any suggestions of what to google / who to ask the Dr to send her to ?

Is it something which has started happening more frequently recently ie. since not being at school?

Obviously I don’t know what she specifically is like but most kids her age will sit on their bed all day with their legs in front of them (or even sit on their legs), and the same on a sofa, always with feet up.

It could be something as simple as that. At school she’d be sat on a chair during each lesson then walking about between them, with the Zoom calls at the moment, she could be spending a lot more time with her legs effective elevated.

Typical young girl hardly ever sits in a chair as she supposed to but I'm unsure how raising her feet would negatively affect her circulation.

Her sister is diagnosed with Raynaud's but that, in her case, just means cold white hands and feet and she just has to wrap up warm. lt's the colour change that worries me and the itchiness that is affecting her.

It might not fix it and I’m not exactly qualified to diagnose it but I do know that if I sit with my legs out in front of me on a soft surface (sofa or bed), I get pins and needles. All I’m saying is for a relatively simple thing to test, it’s got to be worth a try, right?

Definitely worth a try, I can sit all day with my legs up but mine ache if I stand still - we're all different.

Just been in to see her - kneeling on a chair rolleyes

I'd be asking the docs if it's worth trying compression stockings.
