Has anyone used one?
I have minor back niggles now and again, where I feel like I need a really good back 'crack', to stretch out the spine.
Does anyone use one or is it a bit of kit that would find itself at the back of the garage after a couple of weeks?

If we assume that the thing(s) that’s causing your back pain can be corrected by stretching, then there are many ways to achieve the same stretch in the same places without requiring an expensive inversion table.

To be fair, they are not that expensive, starting at about £70.
In my experience stretching doesn't really hit the spot, although a particularly tall son in law grasping me under the arms and lifting does! With a satisfying crack to boot. Unfortunately with lockdown I haven't seen him for some time!

You can kind of get the same result by doing it the other way and hanging from a pull up bar or similar to decompress the spine.

But I think you need to keep your feet touching the ground so you can keep loose. If you just hang, you'll tense muscles to stabilise.

I've been thinking of trying one, but can't really justify the space.

You can do a fair bit as well with a foam roller and trigger point techniques for back mobility.

I have a mate who swares by his inversion table, so I bought one for the wife, as she has a badback. She hates it, may be try one first? The one i bought was 80 pounds, and it's a very well made bit of kit, perfectly safe and stable.

Thanks for all the comments, I'll research a few more stretching exercises and either keep an eye open for one locally or see if I can find one to try somewhere.

Also have a bad back. I use a foam roller and golf ball. Couple of times a week on the back with the roller and as required with the golf ball. Basically trigger point therapy to release knots.

I know what’s wrong, just requires surgery to resolve it.
