Pornography - could you give it up?

In my opinion, this is in the correct sub-forum, but I’m sure it’ll be moved if someone feels it’s necessary.

So to the point, do you or don’t you watch online porn?
If you don’t, what’s the reason for not? (Choice, age/generational etc)
If you do, could you stop if you wanted to?
If you have wanted to, did you manage to?

I’m at the age, stage of life and now the social and moral leaning where I’m seeing it purely as a negative, rather than having indifferent or ambivalent opinions on it.

I think todays porn messes up your head. Kids who watch it at a young age especially. Tube sites with so much content overwhelm the senses. You end up watching more than you want in-order to find a vid that you like.

And it's so fake, you can tell most of the women are not into it, just thinking of the cash to pay the rent this month. Very little amateur stuff feels like it's actually homemade and spontaneous.

I try to avoid it. Best to use memories/or picture the milf neighbors

Well i wasn’t really starting the thread for myself, it was just out of interest of other people’s opinions and experiences.

But as you’ve asked, I’ve never watched it with a girlfriend really, not as a proper adult anyway.

I use porn when bored so I can and do 'give it up' until the next time I'm bored. Could happily go months without it provided I had another source of entertainment. In the past, through deep boredom phases, I've viewed it several times a day but I also viewed other websites several times a day during the same period, so I don't think of porn as bad in any way, it's just another website to pass the time.

Saying that, there are loads more genres of porn these days than there were 10-20 years ago. And some of them are just plain wrong. I don't spare a thought for the 'performers' though so I'll watch what I want to watch and not be outraged by what I dont want to watch.

When you say you are at that age in life - and then seeing your profile pic of a stunning cotswolds house - does that mean closing in on state pension age or closing in on the earliest date you can draw a private pension.

It’s more widely known that many of the women are not doing it under their own free will and many are underage despite it saying otherwise

Ethical porn is out there but is flooded by the bad and not easy to find
