Under normal circumstances you'd get in touch with your local Adult Social Services and they'd arrange for an Occupational Therapist to do an assessment and they might supply equipment free. Don't know how that would work at the moment. Might be worth giving SS a call.Just to add, that's how things work in Wales, it might be different in other parts.

A referral via the GP to either an Occupational Therapist or the local Falls Team is a good start.
